SEND Teaching Assistant - Secondary School, Middleton Start Date: ASAP Pay: £90-£100 per day Agency: Tradewind Recruitment Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Middleton who are seeking a skilled and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about helping young people with Special Educational Needs thrive both academically and personally. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral staff to provide personalised support to students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. Your role will involve in-class assistance, small-group interventions, implementing tailored strategies, and helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Please note: Only candidates with proven experience working in secondary schools and within the education sector will be considered for this role. Applications without this experience cannot be progressed. The ideal candidate will: Have strong experience supporting SEND students in a secondary school setting Be confident in adapting learning materials and providing differentiated support Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships Be proactive, patient, and resilient when supporting students with additional needs Hold a valid DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact on young people's educational journeys, whilst becoming part of a welcoming and dedicated school community.
